Just a quick note of good news. Although the court house has been closed and we have currently been delayed a month so far, we did receive the Adoption Decree today. We will not have to wait until October 13 to obtain it. From reading the decree, we did see that MOWA objected to following through with the adoption as Mihret did come through an orphanage [name not necessary] that is no longer licensed. However, the Federal First Instance Court dismissed their opinion in this regard as the adoption contract between us and the orphanage was signed before the closing of the orphanage, and it is Mihret's best interest that she been adopted rather than remain an orphan in Ethiopia.
God is good.
Now we await the vital statistics and immigration letter to be issued by MOWA. Once that is completed, the new birth certificate and passport can be requested. Upon receipt of that, the visa can be requested from Nairobi!
Getting closure.
God is good.
