Nairobi

The next few steps that were needing to be taken apparently happened / are happening. It appears a few things have stepped into high gear. It was only two weeks ago, which in adoption land was a short time ago, we found out MOWA did the letter to request to new birth certificate and passport. Since that time, those have both been issued, all documents have been translated and put together, the file was sent to Nairobi and Nairobi has advised that they are reviewing it.

So not so much is left now. Nairobi has already sent the medical form to Ethiopia for Mihret to be checked by the doctor. The doctor will then forward it to London for the Canadian immigration doctor to review and approve. The doctor will send it back to Nairobi and Nairobi will issue the visa. Nairobi usually advises CAFAC when they are sending the visas on to Ethiopia. When they advise this, we are then told to book our flights so we can arrive in Ethiopia about the same time.

We continue to hurry up and wait.  Patiently.
