I'm not as insane as Lyle thinks!

So it's done. The stress of my individual interview is over. I was completely mentally exhausted by the time I was done. Ever seen National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation? Remember the turkey that was dried out from being over cooked? Well, three hours of in depth probing into my life meant my brain was overcooked just the same. My family tree is a little more complex than Lyle's "standard" family. It went well though, and thanks to my family not being completely over the top, I am still on my way to acceptance with the Ministry. I didn't even have to lie!

Our social worker is a God send. As much as this home study process is tiring, intrusive, exhausting and very lengthy, she has made it a process in which understanding and trust have been built. At times we get discouraged and question the process, but we also know that it is not a personal vendetta of hers to put us through this. Every time she is here we thank her and acknowledge the work and time she must give. [Yes she does get paid but that's not the point; this has become her passion as much as it is ours.]

So again, we thank her and we ask that each of you lift her up in your prayers as well. We ask that you all remember each person that must be a part of this lengthy process; our social worker, the people at Sunrise Adoption, the people at CAFAC, our Power of Attorney in Ethiopia who will attend Court on our behalf [among other things]. God bless each of them and may He continue to guide them in our adoption.

Our next few updates will be slow coming now. We do not meet with our worker until all the seminars / classes are complete [mid-April]. As we attend them and things happen, or if we just have random thoughts, we will of course write. Much love to you all.
