We are now finally allowed to be parents in the Province of Alberta. Woo hoo! We haven't received the letter in our hands yet, but apparently it has been sent. It appears that our paper work was lost more than once ... 'nough said. No need to complain about it now.
Of course, it meant that an additional homestudy had to take place since our last homestudy update was 8 months ago! But there was no charge as our agency felt that we should not have to pay since it was neither our fault or theirs. [Guess that tells you who's fault it was!] This second update was completed this morning and the report has already be signed off and sent.
That being said, we no longer need to hope and pray that a referral doesn't come before provincial approval. The mess to clean up had that happened, would have been quite large.

That is such good news!!! Lyle called us a few min. ago. We have been praying at care group as well. we will let them know.still praying for the referral.

Alberta is a great place to live and has some great adoption rules compared to some of the other provinces but they do have a tendancy to lose things and to be really slow. None of that matters now though! One step closer!
