Here is the updated info we received from our agency. It's not exactly pleasant news:
We have had an update on the court meetings that were held in Addis Ababa on March 31, 2010 with adoption agencies and the court present as well as other parties to the Adoption process.
The court has determined that May 9th, 2010 will be the start date for adoptive parents having to report to court. The full details on exactly how this will be arranged etc have not been forwarded yet. Certainly this is going to create more forward planning for families and CAFAC staff to coordinate.

I don't know what to think about this. At times I look at it positively, like we can go find Mirtalem's birthfamily, visit some of the other places etc... however the amount of $$ is crazy, flights, time off work etc..
Things change all the time, so it may be different again by the time you get a referral/court date.
Not exactly the news we wanted to hear. But as Jody said , it can change by the time the referral comes. We continue to pray to that end. God is greater than the courts . He can change the heart of a man!!(woman)Love you, mom h.
