Good News, But Not THE News

Nope, we did not receive our referral, but we did receive news worthy of noting.  A few days ago we received the Country Update from CAFAC.  Here's a few points that made us breathe again:

- Referrals this month: 1
- Number of court approvals: 1
- Families with documents in Nairobi: 19
- Visas issued: 13
- Families traveling in October: 6
- There are a number of child and family files in various stages of application for court.  We will be reporting individually to families on their status.  Now that court is open and the visa issuance review is over applications to court and referrals are our focus.
- We have been advised that there will be referrals coming in the next month.

So what does all this mean?  It means things are finally moving!  It's been slow for a while, with court closure and the visa issuance review.  So many families in all stages have been just sitting and stressing.  We continue to sit and wait and hope and pray ... along with so many others.
